About Us

Permanent Drift offers original photo books, zines, prints, and related ephemera. Utilizing democratic formats and drawing inspiration from everyday subjects and spontaneous explorations of the built environment,  Permanent Drift explores the liminal spaces where topography, chance, and history intersect.

Their most recent release, A Chance That Nothing Will Happen, centers on the now-subterranean Cohocksink Creek in Philadelphia, whose influence on the city can be still be seen.

Founded in 2012 by John Waller and Jeannette Wintjen, Permanent Drift is currently located in Holyoke, MA.
